  • you don't live in the world alone your brothers are here too - duncan fraser interviewing chris and tim jeffery

    Published by 81, 23/04/10

Much of our work helps leaders to bring to awareness their early life and the influence this has on their thinking, feeling, behaviour and leadership. This piece takes the form of an interview / discussion with the Jeffery brothers. Chris Jeffery is Head of an extremely successful Independent school working with materially well-off children leading a vision to create a curriculum which encourages them to take their own place as responsible mindful leaders in the world. His younger brother Tim Jeffery is ceo of Spurgeons, the Children?s charity, which works with young people at the other end of the material spectrum. This piece explores in depth the life of two brothers, their family values, their own relationship and how this has informed who they are and what they do. It shows the importance of the idea of service, the ongoing tension for all of us between our inner and outer lives and stresses the importance of the journey towards consonance between the two. .
